  • More than 850 members represented by a member elected Board of Directors. The Board makes decisions based on what best serves those member companies, excavators, and the general public.

  • DIG -TESS doesn’t require a contract with its member companies. We owe our growth and member-retention to exemplary service.

  • DIG-TESS receives more than 70% of the incoming locate requests in the state of Texas.

DIG-TESS keeps member costs low

  • DIG-TESS services are billed on a “per use” basis at .95 per notification. There are no additional fees or add-ons and your satisfaction with our notification service is guaranteed.

  • GeoCall notification system utilizes “shape-files” to define notification parameters. This results in fewer notifications regarding work done outside of your service area.

  • There is no charge for initial mapping or any future service territory updates.

  • Members can view and update their GeoCall service territory online from the convenience of their office with Member Service Area Management (MSAM).

  • DIG -TESS updates GeoCall with Tele Atlas digital mapping at least every 6 months or as necessary to address geographic locations experiencing rapid growth.

  • DIG -TESS distributes notification tickets to multiple locations for no additional charge.

  • There is no additional charge for re-sent tickets or for “voice-outs” in conjunction with emergency and dig-up notifications.

  • DIG -TESS provides KorWeb, a web-based ticket management system to our members at no additional cost.

  • All excavators can enter locate requests on-line with GeoRemote which reduces time and increases efficiency, especially when mapping the requested area. Members benefit from GeoRemote due to reduced operating costs associated with the GeoCall interface.

  • Members benefit from extensive industry and public outreach conducted by DIG -TESS staff who spread the “Dig Safely” message at conferences, safety meetings, and with individual excavators on member behalf. DIG -TESS also does excavator mailings, publishes and distributes a newsletter, and maintains a website in English and Spanish.
